Our Story

From experienced developer to founder – solving the onboarding problem from the inside out

Konrad, founder of NaviHire

Hi, I'm Konrad, the founder of NaviHire

With over 6 years as a software developer, I've experienced the challenges of onboarding processes from multiple perspectives.

I've been the new developer who spent weeks navigating scattered documentation, asking the same questions that every newcomer asks, and feeling uncertain in a maze of tribal knowledge.

As I gained experience, I observed the same challenges from another angle: knowledge scattered across Google Docs, Confluence, Jira, and README files in different Git repositories. Documentation that was often outdated. No clear path for newcomers to follow.

The interesting part? We recognized this was an issue, but addressing it systematically always fell to the bottom of the priority list. There was always a more urgent feature to ship or bug to fix.

The Turning Point

"The moment that sparked NaviHire came when a teammate and I joined a company at the same time. We both started enthusiastic and eager to contribute, but as weeks went by, we found ourselves spending more time searching for information than writing code. Gradually, our motivation declined."

I worked for many companies from large corporations to small startups and I've experienced different weaknesses and gaps in onboarding processes at each of them. The onboarding experience significantly impacted developer productivity and satisfaction, yet few organizations had a systematic approach to address it.

This realization evolved into a clear vision: we needed a better approach to developer onboarding – not just another knowledge base or wiki, but something designed specifically for the unique challenges of technical onboarding across different types of organizations.

When I couldn't find an ideal solution on the market, I decided to build it myself. NaviHire was born from these real experiences and designed to solve the consistent challenges I've encountered throughout my career.
